Environmental policy

A practical approach to reducing the environmental impact of our engineering and manufacturing activities.

Our commitment

Agile 3D Ltd, trading as Agile3D, is committed to operating responsibly and reducing avoidable environmental impacts from our engineering, prototyping and manufacturing activities.

We aim to make practical improvements proportionate to the size and nature of our business, while meeting customer requirements and maintaining safe, reliable engineering outcomes.

Legal compliance

We comply with applicable environmental legislation and other environmental requirements that apply to our activities. We consider environmental risks when planning work and put appropriate controls in place to prevent pollution.

Materials and waste

  • Use materials efficiently and seek to reduce avoidable scrap, failed builds and unnecessary production.
  • Reuse suitable materials, components and packaging where this is practical and does not compromise quality or safety.
  • Separate waste for recycling where suitable facilities and collection services are available.
  • Store and dispose of waste responsibly, using appropriately authorised services where required.
  • Handle materials and substances safely to reduce the risk of spills, pollution or environmental harm.

Energy, equipment and transport

We seek to avoid unnecessary energy use through sensible equipment settings, maintenance and switching off equipment when it is safe and practical to do so. We consider energy efficiency when choosing or replacing equipment.

We use remote collaboration where appropriate and consider opportunities to reduce unnecessary travel, packaging and deliveries.

Design and purchasing

Where relevant to the brief, we consider material efficiency, durability, repairability, manufacturing processes and end-of-life options during design and development.

We consider environmental factors when choosing materials, suppliers and services, alongside technical performance, quality, cost and delivery requirements. We will seek proportionate information from suppliers where it helps us make informed decisions.

Responsibility and improvement

The directors are responsible for this policy. Everyone working for or on behalf of Agile3D is expected to use resources responsibly and raise concerns about waste, pollution or other environmental risks.

We will review this policy annually, identify practical opportunities for improvement and set proportionate actions where useful. We will also review it when changes to our activities or relevant requirements make this necessary.
